When a vibration plate is not advised
Using a vibration plate is not advised in the following situations:
- Pregnancy
- A pacemaker or electronic implant
- Thrombosis, or a history of thrombosis
- An acute disc herniation
- A detached retina
- Active cancer
- Recent joint replacements or internal fixation hardware
- Epilepsy
This list is not exhaustive. If you are unsure, and particularly if you are on medication or under care for any condition, ask your doctor before first use.
Good practice
- Start with sessions of five to ten minutes at the lowest speed.
- Build the duration and intensity up gradually, over several days.
- Use it barefoot or in trainers, never in socks alone.
- Put it on a flat, stable surface. Avoid thick carpet.
- Stop straight away if you feel dizzy or nauseous, or if anything hurts.
- Not advised for children without adult supervision.
Electrical safety
Designed for a 220–240 V / 50 Hz mains supply on a standard socket. Do not use in a damp room or with wet feet. Unplug after every use.
